Diamondback Golf Club was designed and built by 1971 Masters Champion and longtime Abilenian, Charles Coody, and opened November 1, 1999.
Diamondback is situated on 220 acres of beautiful, rolling land located in Abilene, Texas. With an abundance of mature oak, mesquite, and hackberry trees the course is dissected by Lytle Creek which winds through the course. The greens are seeded with Dominant Plus strain of bent grass while fairways, trees, and rough are Tiffway 419 bermuda grass. With its natural elevation changes, Diamondback Golf Club offers some of the most beautiful scenic views seen in the Big Country and promises to be a most enjoyable golf course to play.
